How Do I Learn to Wingsuit?

Learning to Fly a Wingsuit

Many of the more adventurous types come to skydiving after watching the amazing stunts performed by extreme sports athletes, and want to know what it takes to do what they do.

Like any other athlete at the apex of their sport, the road to get there was long and difficult. Extreme athletes are no different, but most of them started with a tandem skydive at their local dropzone. The United States Parachute Association (USPA) has a regulation that anyone being coached on how to fly a wingsuit must have at least 200 skydives; seems like a lot, right? Well, most of the athletes seen on YouTube skimming the mountains or flying next to aircraft have thousands of jumps, and spent years training to reach that level of mastery. Start here, make your first jump and see if this is your thing, if it is, we’ll help you take it to the next level. If it’s not, you’ll forever have an awesome story to tell and video to prove it (provided you got the video)!
